An international community.

STOPERA! is less an organisation than a living network: artists, performers and collaborators who meet again from one project to the next, in France and abroad.

Sebastian Rivas — artistic director. A French-Argentine composer, Silver Lion of the Venice Biennale (2018), he founded and directs STOPERA!

Georges Aperghis — honorary president. Pioneer of musical theatre, founder of ATEM (1976), Golden Lion of the Venice Biennale (2015). His support commits STOPERA! to democratising opera and inventing new forms of narrative.
