LIPS Lab

An interdisciplinary laboratory of scenic and sound prototypes. Each year, young artists from all disciplines — composition, stage direction, visual arts, theatre, dance — prototype new forms together, mentored by established artists. A space for exchange, experimentation and co-writing, where transmission happens through practice.
The laboratory works through protocols. Each edition begins from a question of form — voice and gesture captured in real time, generated image, spatialised sound, object-instruments, ecological writing — and works it in workshop, residency and rehearsal, up to the prototype. Transmission happens through practice: young artists from every discipline prototype alongside established artists.
The outcomes are not only performances: they are documented methods, devices and knowledge meant to circulate — publications, open resources, collaborations with universities and research centres.
